Council and roadworks

Road

Roadworks: SH 5 Taupo to Napier. SH 5 Taupo to Napier. Roadworks (maintenance). From 6am Wednesday 30 September to midnight Tuesday 15 December. Roadworks are taking place on SH5 east of Taupo near Caroline Drive, between 6am and 6pm Monday to Friday, due until mid-December. During work hours, 2-way stop/go traffic management is in place. Plan ahead and allow for delays of up to 10 minutes. Detour: Follow posted detour.

Road

Roadworks: SH 1 Waitahanui, near the Awhi Road intersection and 1 more. SH 1 Waitahanui, near the Awhi Road intersection; SH 1 Hatepe, near the Rereahu Avenue intersection. Roadworks (maintenance). From 8am Monday 12 October to 4.30pm Friday 16 October. Due to drainage works, there is stop/go traffic management with a 30km/h temporary speed restriction in place. Stop on request and drive with caution.
